Fatal occupational incidents statistics updated

According to Safe Work Australia, 134 Australian workers have been killed at work so far this year.

Recent figures from the federal safety regulator show fatal incidents in the Transport, postal & warehousing industries are on the rise, with 57 fatalities recorded so far this year.

Agriculture, forestry & fishing industry has recorded 29 fatalities. The Construction industry has lost 15 workers, and Manufacturing has reported 9 deaths.

In 2021,169 Australian workers died on the job.
