EWP incidents spark safety warning

WorkSafe Victoria urges employers to make safety a priority when using elevating work platforms (EWPs) after a worker died and another sustained injuries in separate incidents involving EWP.

The safety watchdog adds that workers should always check the work area to ensure there are no overhead powerlines and structures.

WorkSafe states that employers must ensure EWPs are inspected before use and operators are adequately trained.
