Construction worker falls to his death from power lines in Newcastle

A worker has been killed following a fall from a power pole at a worksite in Newcastle on Monday morning.

The incident happened in Warabrook at about 12.10am.

Colleagues administered CPR before paramedics arrived, but the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

SafeWork NSW is probing the incident.
