Christchurch workplace death under police investigation

Police in Christchurch are conducting an investigation into a workplace fatality that occurred in Hornby on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services said they were alerted to the incident on Carmen Road at 12.40pm, where a worker was discovered deceased.

St John Ambulance confirmed they dispatched two ambulances, a rapid response unit, and an operations manager to the site.

WorkSafe is aware of the incident.
