Worker killed in Auckland scaffolding collapse

Emergency services were called to an Auckland construction site on Monday morning after scaffolding collapsed, trapping a worker.

Ambulance paramedics were called to the incident just before 8.30 am.

One worker was rescued by firefighters and taken to Auckland City Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

WorkSafe has launched an investigation into the incident.
