NSW Resources Regulator publishes investigation report after conveyor incident northwest of Young

The New South Wales Resources Regulator has published an investigation report after a mine worker suffered serious injuries when he fell into a conveyor chute at a mine site northwest of Young in August 2021.

The 54-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering a chest injury.

The regulator reminds mine operators that they should identify and assess all hazards associated with the use of conveyors.

The regulator also reminds workers to fully isolate guarded plant or equipment before opening or removing guards.
