Young boy flown to hospital after being struck by gate

A young boy was airlifted to hospital with head injuries after being knocked down by a gate in South West Queensland.

The boy was attending a working stock event when a horse reportedly kicked the gate on Saturday morning.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter landed at the scene just before 9 am.

Queensland Ambulance paramedics stabilised the boy at the scene before the rescue chopper flew him to Toowoomba Hospital.
