WorkSafe WA issues reminder on mobile plant safety following two fatal incidents



Following two tragic incidents in WA workplaces last week, WorkSafe is reminding employers to carefully assess their safety procedures regarding mobile plant.

WorkSafe says it is probing both incidents to determine if any violations of work health and safety regulations have occurred and to uncover the factors that led to these incidents.

Acting WorkSafe Commissioner Sally North stressed the importance of conducting a comprehensive review of safety procedures in light of these incidents.

“The incidents on Wednesday in O’Connor and Dalwallinu are a tragic reminder of the risks associated with operating mobile plant in workplaces,” Ms North said.
