WorkSafe reminds ACT businesses to train workers about crystalline silica
WorkSafe ACT reminds all businesses to ensure all workers are trained about crystalline silica before 1 July 2023.
The safety authority says it will take action against businesses that will not comply with this requirement.
“WorkSafe ACT will continue to undertake inspections in line with our Compliance and Enforcement Policy, and we will take regulatory action where training has not been provided by 1 July 2023” Work Health and Safety Commissioner Jacqueline Agius said.
“Crystalline silica exposure prevention through a combination of control measures and training mustbe a priority in workplaces.”
