WorkSafe probing fatal fall incident in Perth

WorkSafe is currently conducting an investigation into the work-related fatality of a 71-year-old roof plumber that occurred in Malaga on Tuesday.

Reports indicate the man was performing tasks on the roof of an unoccupied factory unit when he plummeted about five meters through the metallic roofing.

“WorkSafe investigators examine the circumstances of incidents with a view to ensuring compliance and preventing future incidents of a similar nature,” the safety regulator stated in a release.

WorkSafe Commissioner Sally North expressed her sadness over the tragic incident and extended her heartfelt sympathies to the man's loved ones.
