WorkSafe probing death of a man near Northland forestry block

An investigation has been launched by WorkSafe after a man was found dead last Friday in rural Northland, close to a forestry block.

Police said they attended a workplace incident near Taipuha on Friday afternoon.

Authorities were alerted to the rural area after 1:30pm, where the deceased man was found.

A WorkSafe New Zealand official indicated that inspectors had been on-site last week to collect evidence in order to better understand the circumstances involved.
