WorkSafe NZ unveils new strategic plan

WorkSafe has recently released its new plan that aims to make a significant difference in reducing the most severe harm experienced in workplaces across New Zealand.

WorkSafe says its role as New Zealand’s workplace safety regulator is to encourage employers to fulfil their obligations and ensure they are held accountable for any negligence.

“Ten years on from WorkSafe’s inception, our refreshed strategy is about delivering what New Zealanders expect of their work health and safety regulator. We will work with businesses, workers, and other key players in the system to reduce harm and improve health and safety at work for everyone,” says WorkSafe’s Board Chair, Jennifer Kerr.
