WorkSafe inspection programs aims to address security issues at construction sites

WorkSafe has launched a proactive inspection program to assess security concerns at construction sites in Western Australia.

According to WorkSafe, the program will target various randomly-chosen sites in both urban and regional areas of the State during the 2024/25 financial year.

“There have been incidents in which construction sites have been accessed by unauthorised persons, exposing them to serious hazards,” WorkSafe said.

The safety agency states that inspectors will assess the security measures implemented to ensure construction sites are adequately protected from unauthorised access. They will also conduct routine site inspections to ensure overall compliance and safety.
