Workplace safety the focus for National Safe Work Month in the Northern Territory

NT WorkSafe urges workers and employers to keep workplace safety at the top of their minds during National Safe Work Month.

The safety regulator says work-related injuries accounted for 4637 lost weeks in 2021-22.

NT WorkSafe, in partnership with the Airport Development Group (ADG) is delivering free information sessions on workplace health and safety during the month of October.

Rob Porter, Executive General Manager of Operations, ADG said the organisation was delighted to continue its partnership with NT WorkSafe to raise awareness about workplace safety.

“As owners and operators of three airports in the NT, safety is at the core of everything we do, every single day” he said.
