Workplace Health and Safety Queensland facing Independent review



The Queensland Government has launched an independent review of the State’s workplace safety regulator.

The review will be led by business leader, Greg Quinn and aims to ensure Workplace Health and Safety Queensland meets the community's expectations.

Mr Quinn will seek input from various industry stakeholders, including the Work Health and Safety Board and Committees, the Affected Persons Committee, registered employer representatives and WHSQ employees.

Minister for Industrial Relations Grace Grace said, “I am proud of the Miles Government’s record on worker safety and it is timely that an independent review is conducted of Work Health and Safety Queensland to complement the legislative changes we have before Parliament.”
