Workplace fatalities continue to rise
A total of 40 Australian workers have died in work-related incidents so far this year, according to recent data from Safe Work Australia.
Transport postal and warehousing industry leads with 13 fatalities, followed by Agriculture forestry and fishing with 9 fatalities.
The construction industry lost 5 workers, Public administration and safety reported 4 fatalities, while Mining had 3 worker deaths.
In 2023, a total of 175 work-related deaths occurred
