Worker taken hospital after fire incident at Ballarat mine

A worker was transported to hospital following a fire at an underground gold mine in regional Victoria.

The ABC News reported that workers were moved to safe chambers as a preventative measure following a truck fire on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters arrived at the scene around 9:30am, where they discovered a minor fire in a construction vehicle.

Ambulance Victoria said an individual was transported to St John of God Ballarat Hospital and was subsequently discharged.
