Worker killed at Pilbara mine site in second WA’s mine fatality in less than a week

WorkSafe has commenced an investigation after the death of a worker at a mine site in Western Australia’s Pilbara.

The incident happened on Thursday.

The death comes a day after an underground miner was fatally injured in WA’s Goldfields region.

WorkSafe WA Commissioner Darren Kavanagh condoled with the family and friends of the deceased worker, saying any workplace fatality is a tragedy.
