Worker injured after quad bike rolls down steep embankment

A council employee sustained injuries after his quad bike went off an embankment in Sydney’s east.

The 62-year-old man was landscaping when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and rolled down a cliff on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were alerted to Murray Street at Bronte Park, near Bronte Beach, around 1.05pm following reports of a vehicle tumbling down a steep embankment.

The man was discovered about 30 meters down with injuries to his chest and shoulder, while the quad bike was spotted overturned.

The man was in a stable condition when he was conveyed to St. Vincent's Hospital.

SafeWork NSW is aware of the incident.
