Worker hospitalised after metal frame became stuck in his neck

A man sustained severe injuries when a piece of metal got stuck in his neck at a Brisbane workplace.

Paramedics responded to an incident involving a man who was injured while working at a construction site in Kenmore at around 3.20pm on Tuesday.

According to a spokesperson from the Queensland Ambulance Service, a man in his 30s received treatment for severe facial injuries.

Reports indicated the man walked into a metal structure, resulting in a fragment becoming embedded in his neck.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

WorkSafe Queensland has been informed of the incident.
