Worker fatally struck by machinery at Perth roadworks site

A worker sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a concrete grate being hoisted by an excavator in Perth’s north.

Emergency services responded to the scene at Greenwood at around 11:50am on Thursday.

Ambulance paramedics swiftly conveyed a 35-year-old man to Royal Perth Hospital, where he was treated for critical head injuries but unfortunately passed away shortly after arrival.
