Worker fatally injured after being struck by train in Port Hedland

A worker is dead after he was hit by a train in Western Australia's Pilbara region.

The incident took place at a rail yard in Port Hedland on Tuesday morning.

Operations at the site have been temporarily suspended.

WA safety regulators will investigate the incident.
