Worker dies following incident at South Australian copper mine

A workplace incident has claimed the life of a mine worker in South Australia.

Emergency crews were called to a copper mine north of Adelaide at around 5.30am on Tuesday morning following reports a worker had been seriously injured “in a collision … within the boundaries of the mines,” according to SA police.

The worker, a 25 year-old man from Two Wells, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

SafeWork SA is aware of the fatal incident.
