Worker critically injured following 3m plunge at Sydney worksite

A young man is in critical condition after experiencing a horrific fall at a Sydney workplace.

The man in his 20s suffered severe head injuries after reportedly falling 3 meters at the work site in St Leonards around 9:35am on 7 July 2025.

According to Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Adam Dewberry, rescue teams secured the man with a stretcher before employing an on-site crane to lower it to the paramedics below.

The man was transported to the hospital in a serious condition.

SafeWork NSW has been notified about the incident.
