Worker critically injured at VIC abattoir

A man has sustained critical injuries as a result of a workplace incident in northern Victoria on Monday afternoon.

It is understood the man was engaged in work at an abattoir in Echuca, where he got caught in machinery.

The man was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.

WorkSafe said they arrived at the scene at 3pm and are conducting an investigation.
