Woman killed after being hit by hay bale at Queensland saleyard

A woman has lost her life following an incident where a hay bale fell on her at a Queensland saleyard.

Emergency services and police were alerted to the work-related incident just prior to 7am on Wednesday.

The woman, who was in her 40s, was examined for injuries that posed a threat to her life, but she died shortly after.

Workplace Health and Safety is probing the incident.
