Woman flown to hospital following horse trampling

A woman was flown to the hospital following an incident with a horse in South East Queensland Friday afternoon.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the Sunshine Coast region at about 1pm after a woman was trampled by a horse.

Working in conjunction with ambulance paramedics, the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew provided immediate medical assistance to the injured woman at the scene.

The woman in her 40s was later airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital suffering chest injuries.
