Victorian transport company charged after worker’s fatal fall

WorkSafe has filed charges against a transport company following the death of a worker in the state’s east.

The 60-year-old man died after falling four metres from the top of a truck in January 2022.

WorkSafe has charged the company with a single breach of the OHS Act for failing to provide a safe work environment.

The parties will appear in court on 12 September 2023 for a filing hearing.
