Victorian builder to front court over worker’s crush injuries
WorkSafe has pressed charges against a building company after a worker was crushed by a housing frame at a Melbourne construction site in February 2022.
The safety watchdog accuses the company of failing to ensure the safety of individuals who were not employees.
WorkSafe alleges the company did not take adequate measures to minimise the ‘risk of structural failure of the incomplete timber housing frame during the delivery of roof trusses.’
The case is scheduled for a filing hearing at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
