Victoria road safety company facing multiple charges over truckie death

WorkSafe has filed charges against a road safety company after a delivery truck driver was fatally injured at its Gippsland depot in 2021.

The 34-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after a metal barrier fell from his truck and struck him.

The company faces a total of six charges under various sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act following the fatal incident.

The matter will be heard in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 22 February 2023.
