A Gippsland-based steel manufacturer has been sentenced and fined $92,000 in total following three separate workplace incidents with various machines, resulting in severe hand injuries to employees.

The company was convicted in the Latrobe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 23 July after admitting to three violations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The company was additionally instructed to cover expenses amounting to $15,836.
