Twenty Australian workers fatally injured at work so far this year
Twenty workers have been killed at work so far this year, according to recent data from Safe Work Australia.
The transport, postal, and warehousing sector has recorded the highest number of fatalities, totalling 12. This is followed by the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector, as well as construction, each reporting two fatalities.
Additionally, other industries that have experienced fatalities this year include accommodation and food services, administrative and support services, wholesale trade, and electricity, gas, water, and waste services, with one fatality reported in each of these sectors.
