Truckie flown to hospital following Queensland crash

A man has been flown to hospital after the truck he was operating struck a tree in south-east Queensland.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning.

The LifeFlight rescue chopper was called to the scene at 10:30am.

The man in his 30s was stuck inside the vehicle and was rescued by fire crews.

He suffered severe injuries to his head and legs following the incident and was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
