Truck tailgate crushes Melbourne worker

WorkSafe is investigating after an auto electrician died when the tailgate of a truck fell on him on Saturday afternoon.

It happened at Campbellfield at around 12.30 pm.

Reports indicate the 41-year-old man was working on the truck at the time of the incident.

WorkSafe data shows 46 fatalities have occurred in Victorian workplaces since the start of this year.
