Transport leads in workplace fatalities

Transport, warehousing, & postal industry has recorded the highest number of occupational deaths in Australia so far this year, latest figures from Safe Work Australia indicates that the industry leads with 17 fatalities.

It is followed by the Manufacturing industry and Agriculture, forestry & fishing industry with 4 fatalities each.

Others include Mining 3 fatalities, Arts & recreation services and Construction 2 fatalities each.
