Teenage boy hospitalised after quad bike rollover
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has conducted an airlift of a teenage boy after the quad bike he was riding rolled off a trail and tumbled down a ten-metre slope.
The aeromedical team responded to the incident at a private property northwest of Gympie at about 11:30am on Thursday morning.
Upon arrival, the pilot safely landed the helicopter in a nearby field.
The boy was treated by ambulance paramedics and the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor for a fractured leg.
He was then airlifted to the Sunshine Coast and further transferred to Sunshine Coast University Hospital by QAS in a stable condition.
