Teen crushed by machinery airlifted to hospital

A teenage boy has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after he was trapped by machinery in the Western Downs region.

The teen suffered serious head and chest injuries following the incident on Friday afternoon.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the incident about 2.15pm.

The boy was treated at the scene before being flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
