Tasmania supporting efforts to promote safety of roadworkers

The Tasmanian Government has reaffirmed its support for the current industry campaign dedicated to the safety of roadworkers.

The Civil Contractors Federation has recently unveiled the 2024 edition of the ‘Your Speed is Our Safety’ campaign.

This campaign is a joint effort involving the Civil Contractors Federation, the Traffic Management Association of Australia, and the Road Safety Advisory Council, with backing from the Tasmanian Government.

Minister for Transport, Eric Abetz, expressed concern regarding the ongoing prevalence of individuals exceeding speed limits in roadwork zones.

“Upgrading our roads and bridges is a key priority under our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, which means there is a lot of work going on across the State,” Minister Abetz said.
