Sydney worker hospitalised in critical condition after heavy boulder crushes him

A worker remains in hospital in a critical condition after he was crushed by a heavy boulder at a Sydney worksite Tuesday morning.

The man in his 40s was freed by emergency crews after he became trapped under the boulder.

He was undertaking excavations on the banks of a river when the incident occurred.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to Westmead Hospital in critical condition.
