Sydney construction worker in hospital after suffering impalement injuries from 3m fall

A worker suffered serious injuries when he fell three meters at a worksite in northwest Sydney on Monday morning.

Emergency services were summoned to a construction site in Macquarie Park at about 11am.

The man in his twenties reportedly plummeted several meters from an elevated floor and descended through a deck.

During the fall, the man suffered an impalement in his buttocks.

The man was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment.
