Survey shows more workers covered under Comcare scheme return to work after an injury

Figures from the 2021 National Return to Work Survey show injured workers covered by the federal workers' compensation scheme, Comcare, are returning to work at high rates.

According to the figures, the majority, (96%) of those surveyed reported returning to work at some point since their injury.

The survey of 619 workers, conducted between 22 June and 30 September 2021, shows 72% of injured workers under the Comcare scheme reported that their expectations were met.

The National Return to Work Survey aims to understand the experiences of injured workers receiving workers’ compensation, and the factors affecting their ability to return to work.

For more information on the above survey, go to the Comcare website.
