South Australian trailer company fined after worker suffers partial finger amputations
A trailer company was recently fined by the South Australian Employment Tribunal after a worker sustained injuries while operating a poorly guarded machine.
The tribunal filed charges against the company after a teenage worker lost part of his fingers during the November 2020 incident.
A SafeWork SA investigation found the company failed to provide a safe working environment for its employees.
The company was handed a fine of $180,000 after pleading guilty to the offence.
