Sixteen Australian workers killed on the job this year

Safe Work Australia has released the latest work-related fatality figures for 2023.

The figures indicate that 16 Australian workers have been killed at work since the beginning of this year. Transport, postal & warehousing industry has recorded 8 fatalities, Mining 3 fatalities and Manufacturing 2 deaths.

Agriculture, forestry & fishing, Arts & recreation services and Construction have one fatality each.
