The New South Wales Government is requesting input from employers, employees, labor unions, and industry stakeholders regarding SafeWork NSW's regulatory priorities for the fiscal year 2025/26.

According to the State Government, the regulatory priorities are included in the Annual Regulatory Statement (ARS) of SafeWork NSW. The consultation period is now open, and feedback will be taken into account for the ARS set to launch on July 1, 2025.

The Government says input from stakeholders will ensure that the ARS aligns with industry requirements, safeguards employees, maintains community safety, and supports the SafeWork NSW Strategic Plan for 2024-2029.

The Minister for Industrial Relations, Sophie Cotsis, urged residents of New South Wales to engage in the consultation process.

“I encourage everyone to participate in this consultation to help ensure SafeWork NSW is focused on the right priorities for the year ahead,” the minister said.
