SafeWork SA issues heatwave warning to employers
As temperatures soar across the State, SafeWork SA reminds employers to implement their hot weather policy or adopt the necessary safety measures to protect workers from heat-related illnesses.
Businesses have a responsibility to protect employees from heat stress, according to SafeWork SA Executive Director Glenn Farrell.
‘One of the most critical things businesses and employers can do is to consider how they can rearrange work activities, to best protect their workers,’ Mr Farrell said.
SafeWork also urges the general public to show respect towards workers during the hot weather.
