SafeWork SA has granted funding for projects focused on educating young workers about the dangers of electricity, creating a safety toolkit for Aboriginal workers, and implementing strategies to aid women in addressing the challenges of menopause and shift work.

The winners of the 2025 Augusta Zadow Awards were announced by the Governor of South Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, during a recent ceremony at Government House.

The awards, held annually in October during National Safe Work Month, are intended to foster initiatives, research, or educational efforts that enhance health and safety for women and young workers in South Australia.

Since 2005, SafeWork SA has been hosting the Augusta Zadow Awards. To commemorate two decades of the awards, the funding cap has been increased this year to a maximum of $40,000 per project.
