Safe Work Australia’s campaign aims to keep food delivery workers safe

Safe Work Australia has created a campaign website to provide health and safety information to food delivery workers.

Statistics show 10 food delivery workers have been killed at work since 2019.

“It’s important food delivery workers understand what they can do to be safe at work, as well as who they can talk to about work health and safety, so they can get home safely,” Safe Work Australia CEO Michelle Baxter said.

The ‘Deliver yourself home safely campaign’ aims to ensure food delivery workers know their rights and responsibilities.

The campaign is available in seven languages including English, Mandarin, Punjabi, Nepali, Hindi, Urdu and Vietnamese.
