Safe Work Australia urges businesses not to let their guard down as National Safe Work Month comes to an end

National Safe Work Month has come to an end and Safe Work Australia wants businesses to continue making workplace health and safety a priority all year long.

Safe Work Australia said October reminds all Australians about the benefits of workplace health and safety.

"This National Safe Work Month highlighted the importance of identifying hazards, including psychosocial hazards, managing common health and safety risks at work, and the economy-wide benefits of creating safe and healthy work for all," Safe Work Australia said in a statement.

"We also encouraged people to grab a cuppa, gather their teams and host a SafeTea event at their workplace during October."
