Safe Work Australia updates preliminary data on work-related fatalities

This year, 40 Australian workers have tragically died at work, as reported by Safe Work Australia.

 Leading the statistics is the transport, postal, and warehousing industry with 19 fatalities, followed by agriculture, forestry, and fishing with 4 fatalities, and construction with 3 deaths.

Additionally, 8 fatalities are categorised as unknown. According to SafeWork Australia, the total number of work-related fatalities in 2024 was 168.
