Safe Work Australia updates ‘Family and domestic violence at work’ information sheet

Safe Work Australia has revised the information sheet on Family and domestic violence at work to align with the recent amendments to the Fair Work Act 2009 concerning paid leave entitlements for family and domestic violence.

“Managing the risk of family and domestic violence at the workplace is complex and needs to be handled appropriately and sensitively,” Safe Work Australia stated.

“It becomes a WHS risk if the perpetrator makes threats, intimidates, or carries out violence on a partner or family member at their workplace, including if they are working from home.”

This informational document offers advice on how PCBUs can ensure a secure work environment for employees and where they can access further assistance.

The updated information sheet is accessible here.
